Seoul Fashion Week S/S 11: Jardin de Chouette

On Sunday, Jardin de Chouette's spring/summer collection, designed by Kim Jaehyun, literally sparkled and glided on the runways of Seoul. The brand explores feminine and contemporary clothing, inspired by streetwear. This collection adhered to this concept with pinstriped, mannish three piece suits, with glittering stars on the blazers. Wide-legged trousers moved elegantly in white and blue whilst blazers were punchy in electric blue with flashes of vibrant yellow. Romantically pleated dresses were very short or very long in white, black and star prints. Streetwear was acknowledged through leather biker jackets in burnt orange, exposed zips on skinny trousers and three quarter length cargo trousers in neon pink and yellow. The sharp trousers was kept girly with silk, backless tops lined with black ribbon.

The collection moved from casual daywear to classic feminine suits to attractive evening wear in an array of silhouettes. Particularly striking was a fun and frivolous blue and pink star print jumpsuit. The yellow, chiffon pleated dress above was also summery and pretty. This is a video I took of the finale of the show. I apologise for the shaky camera work. More professional photos can be viewed at Ilmostreet and Noona blog. Below are photos from previous collections.
